The Green Bay Packers have a new sheriff in town. After spending almost 18 seasons cheering for Aaron Rodgers, the Packers fans will now cheer for Jordan Love. He spent his last three seasons as an understudy to Rodgers and has taken over the offense this season with Rodgers in New York. Love and the Packers started their 2023 NFL season with a bang against arch-rival Chicago Bears in week 1.
Love had a good game against the Bears with his arm, but he didn’t need to use his legs. Against the Atlanta Falcons in their second game, however, Love showed his prowess with the legs and used them on several occasions to get first downs.
During the first quarter of the game against the Falcons, Love scrambled for a first down on third and long and let the defenders know about it. In a video posted by NFL on their official Twitter account, Love can be seen talking to the defender after converting on 3rd and 10 late in the first quarter. The NFL captioned the video “Packers fans have to Love what they see here @jordan3love.” They would love that indeed.
It will be interesting to see if Love can lead the Packers to the playoffs this season. They were a constant feature in the postseason under Aaron Rodgers, but with a young QB with his first full season as the starter, the Packers have less expectations on them. This might prove to be the exact situation Love needs to succeed as a Packer this season.

Packers legend LeRoy Butler believes Jordan Love will be the best QB of the 2020 draft class
Jordan Love has officially begun his career as the starting QB of the Green Bay Packers. After a great week 1 performance where he led the team to a victory against their arch nemesis Chicago Bears, Love has garnered a lot of positive media attention.

Former NFL player and Packers legend LeRoy Butler believes that Love will be the best QB to come out of the 2020 NFL Draft. The 2020 NFL Draft was stacked with some of the best QBs in the league today. Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa and Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert to name a few.
“I think he may be better than those guys [the other quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft] because he’s going to have that opportunity because he had to sit and wait.” Butler said in an interview with TMZ. “There’s a lot of guys who went before me. But I’m in the Hall of Fame — and they’re not.”
It will take a lot for Love to reach the level of those aforementioned guys, but if he plays like he did against the Bears consistently, then he may have a chance. Love and the Packers will play against the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
