McAfee said their show is a fun and uplifting one and sometimes these types of comments get out and they understand some may not like that.

Aaron Rodgers took a dig at celebrity talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in the recent episode of ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show. Rodgers predicted that the famous comedian could be on the disgraced Jeffery Epstine list.

Shortly after the video made its way onto the internet, Kimmel warned that he could take legal action against the New York Jets quarterback for making a statement that harmed his reputation. Witnessing the events unfolding because of Rodgers’ comment, McAfee came out and tried to do damage control. He downplayed the veteran football player’s statement as a “sh*t-talk joke.”

I could see exactly why Jimmy Kimmel felt the way he felt. But I think Aaron was just trying to talk sh*t.

Kimmel’s reaction suggests that Rodgers definitely crossed some sort of line. But the question is, why did McAfee feel the need to apologize when it’s the 40-year-old who should be the one issuing a sorry message? Still, the retired punter is the one doing all the talking for now.

We obviously don’t like the fact that we’re associated with anything negative. We like our show to be happy. But it’s because we talk sh*t and try to make light of everything; some things obviously make people very pis*ed off.

Pat McAfee hopes to see the end of the Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Kimmel beef

According to The Guardian, the US government is scheduled to release the complete Epstine list in early January. While some might believe that Aaron Rodgers’ dig at Jimmy Kimmel may be a random affair, they might be climbing the wrong tree. It essentially dates back to COVID times.

Their fabled beef originated in 2021; after then Green Bay Packers QB tested positive for the virus. Kimmel referenced Rodgers taking a homeopathic treatment. And said,

We should have known because nothing says ‘I heal myself with crystals’ like this haircut. I mean, a little knot on top. Aaron is a Karen and that’s the fact of the matter.

This continued to accumulate over time. Oddly, Rodgers would choose a sports platform to take a jab at Kimmel; nonetheless, it happened, and McAfee is left picking up the pieces. But he still hopes that this beef will see a quick resolution.

You're allowed to disagree with people’s opinions. And then you’re allowed to just move on. Hopefully those two will just be able to settle it, you know? Not court-wise, but be able to chit chat and move along.

This fiasco created a massive question mark on whether Aaron Rodgers would even return to the show. Whether he apologizes or not, that’s an entirely different matter altogether. Not to forget, a few days ago Ryan Fitzpatrick also called out Rodgers.
