Jack Jones recently got arrested at Boston airport for carrying multiple firearms in his carry-on luggage. The New England Patriots talent was charged with multiple counts of carrying illegal weapons.
The Patriots cornerback was arrested soon after and was released after a bail of $30,000 was paid in his name. Recently, Jones arrived at the courthouse for his first hearing, where he pleaded not guilty to all the gun charges.
This recent revelation has created a wave of controversy on social media, and everyone is talking about it. NFL analyst Pat McAfee decided to speak extensively about the situation on his show and also spoke about the terrible gun laws in the country.
McAfee strongly believes that the government should come to a decision to minimize gun violence by giving people limited access to firearms and other weapons.
“I think all political parties are on the same page. We need to get rid of reckless gun ownership. [We have] got to figure this out. I mean, that’s a first step. I think for one particular side. The other side is like, ‘yeah, we’re 100% on that.’ I don’t know how they go about figuring that out. Hopefully, they do,” Pat McAfee stated on the show.

Pat McAfee slams Jack Jones’ attorney for playing the racial card

Jack Jones‘ first visit to the courthouse was nothing short of a movie. The young cornerback pleaded not guilty to all his charges and is expected to be back for another hearing.
However, it was his attorney who grabbed all the headlines. Jones’ attorney believes that social media has targeted her client and made him a ‘thug’ just because of his race.
Pat McAfee and his team didn’t agree with these allegations and believed the NFL rookie had been in the wrong since the beginning. Jones should have been more aware of the rules and shouldn’t have carried multiple firearms in his carry-on luggage.
However, the alleged crime has been committed, and McAfee believes Jack Jones’ case has the potential to be as controversial and encapsulating as the Deshaun Watson controversy that happened last season. Interestingly, the Patriots have yet to make a decision on the action they will take against Jones.
