The saga of Pat McAfee and Brett Favre gets real as the former Packers QB officially served the American media personality with a civil lawsuit for defamation regarding the Mississippi welfare scandal.

The Green Bay Packers legend is suing Pat McAfee for damaging his character and reputation with groundless allegations. Pat McAfee, former Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe and Mississippi state auditor Shad White had all allegedly accused Favre of stealing more than $1 million in welfare funds.

The lawsuit allegedly claims that Pat McAfee used his media to fuel the false allegations and accusations regarding the Mississippi welfare scandal. Favre has publicly denied the implications of him knowingly stealing money from welfare funds.

“No one ever told me, and I did not know, that funds designated for welfare recipients were going to the university or me,” Favre said in a statement.  “I tried to help my alma mater [the University of Southern Mississippi], a public Mississippi state university, raise funds for a wellness center. My goal was and always will be to improve the athletic facilities at my university.”

Even when Favre first announced that he was going to sue Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe, McAfee responded by saying that he will see Favre in court. “A lot of people are wondering how my lawyers are gonna handle this,” McAfee said. “You know it, I ain’t got ’em, so let’s ride this f**ker, I’m excited to see how it goes I’ll see you in court pal.”

And now, he responds with a funny gif after being officially served the court documents. The former All-Pro punter is confident he’ll not face defeat in this lawsuit, however, only time will tell what will happen next.
