The Kansas City Chiefs were fired up for their AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens. It was evident before kickoff as both Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes decided to have some fun with the Ravens’ All-Pro kicker, Justin Tucker. That ended with Kelce tossing Tucker’s equipment aside to make some room for his QB to warm up.

The Ravens’ kicker called it “gamesmanship” and stressed that it was “all in good fun.” Kelce though wasn’t having any of it as he called Tucker a “d***” for not cooperating. After the Chiefs’ victory, Kelce appeared on The Pat McAfee Show for an interview. That interview was then crashed by Mahomes who popped in to say hello to McAfee and his cohosts. The former punter decided to have some fun of his own with the two-time MVP.

McAfee told Mahomes:

Hey, Justin Tucker was going to beat your a**, dude. He was going to beat your a**, you know that.

As Kelce burst out laughing, Mahomes remained composed and continued to smile at the camera.

Kelce then chimed in and said:

I tell you, me and Patrick were on the sideline in the fourth quarter when Tucker had the chance to cut the lead to one score. If he would have missed that field goal, we were 100 percent getting a 15-yard (penalty) flag.

Then McAfee made jokes about how if Tucker had missed his kick, he could have imagined Kelce and Mahomes running around the pitch with joy. The Chiefs have had a fantastic postseason and will play in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers on February 11.

The Baltimore Ravens‘ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game was a shocking result. The Ravens were favored to win the game, but the Chiefs had championship experience behind them. Kansas City was fired up before kickoff and that showed in a pregame incident between the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and the Ravens’ Justin Tucker.

Tucker’s kicking equipment was thrown aside by Kelce, who wanted his QB to warm up before the game. After the game, Tucker termed the incident as part of the “gamesmanship,” but Kelce had some choice words for the Ravens’ superstar kicker.

Kelce said on his podcast, New Heights:

If you want to be a f****** d*** about it, you keep your helmet and your football and your f****** kicking tee right where the quarterbacks are warming up . ... If you're not going to pick that up, I'll happily move that for you.
