“My worst playoff football,” Patrick Mahomes acknowledges his fault in Chiefs’ playoff defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals last season

Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterback in the whole of NFL, but even he has days when there’s nothing going right for the man. The 27-year old Kansas City Chiefs quarterback had one of those days during their NFL Conference Championships last season.
Despite claiming a 21-10 lead over the Bengals at half time, the Chiefs lost the encounter by the barest of margins at the end of over time. While many might say, that the Bengals conjured up something incredible which it was, the Chiefs too did not have a great time.

Along with the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes too fluffed his likes more often than not in the second half. According to Pro Football Talk, Patrick Mahomes acknowledged that it was th worst football he had ever played in a playoff fixture.
“That second half I played, I didn’t play really good football at all. Probably my worst playoff football I’ve played was the second half of the game,” Mahomes said.
“So I’m just trying to use that as a learning thing that whenever I’m struggling or a team’s struggling, just find a way to get positive plays, because when you have a lead like that, you don’t want to lose that lead.”
“We played such a great first half, even if we weren’t getting what we wanted in the second half, I have to get better at taking what’s there to try to get some points on the board, come away and get to the Super Bowl.”
