“Money Making Machine”: Patrick Mahomes all set to become NFL’s first billionaire player

Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly one of the biggest talents in the NFL. Although the Chiefs couldn’t go the distance in the 2021 season, they were quite consistent throughout the season and Patrick Mahomes had a huge role to play in that.
Mahomes was roped in by the Chiefs back in 2017 and it would be fair to say that he has genuinely lived up to the expectations. After becoming the Chiefs’ starter back in 2018, Patrick won an MVP, a Super Bowl, a Super Bowl MVP, and then became a part of another Super Bowl, and won an AFC Championship as well.
Patrick Mahomes has made a number of investments that are already paying dividends

His blockbuster 10-year, $503,000,000 deal with the Chiefs, despite the crazy amount of money involved, doesn’t seem like an outrageous one simply because Mahomes has been astoundingly good season after season. As it turns out, the Chiefs’ QB is now all set to become the league’s first billionaire.
Till now, Mahomes has taken home $47,454,472 in contract money and over the next 10 seasons, that number will move up to $491,454,472. Along with this, Mahomes also endorses a number of brands which also adds greatly to his overall wealth. Moreover, he has a $10 million stake in the Kansas City Royals and also has a stake in Sporting Kansas City.
A few of Mahomes’ endorsement deals are with Bose, Panini, Directv, Adidas, State Farm, and Electronic Arts. ‘Business of Sports’ reporter Andrew Petcash posted a Twitter thread explaining how Mahomes will achieve this astounding feat.
Undoubtedly, what Andrew has said in his Tweets makes a lot of sense and no one can deny the fact that Mahomes truly deserves every penny he is earning from the league. Moreover, the icing on the cake is his great sense of investment that will most probably make him the first NFL star in the history of the great sport to earn over a billion dollars.
