A few weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs led by their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes started their training camp for the upcoming season. They are looking to defend their crown and become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowl rings, since the New England Patriots did it back in 2005. The Chiefs’ training camp has been very active so far.
Their star tight end Travis Kelce was involved in a couple of fights during their training camp. Other than that, the Chiefs camp has had good practice sessions so far. And now, Mahomes, as always, has impressed a lot of people with his extravagant skills. The 2022 Super Bowl MVP casually threw an impressive behind-the-back pass.
In a video shared by the Chiefs‘ official social media account, Mahomes could be seen taking a snap, faking a handoff to the running back, and throwing the rock behind his back to wide receiver Skyy Moore, who completed the catch. Mahomes making an out-of-a-box completion is not a new thing. During his 6 year NFL career so far, the Chiefs QB has made no-look passes and shove passes from awkward positions.
And now, he has added another weapon to his arsenal. With the pocket presence Mahomes has, he doesn’t need those extra moves, but he seems to keep improving his unconventional play style.

The 2-time league MVP Patrick Mahomes completing an impressive behind-the-back play has impressed a lot of Chiefs fans on social media. Fans started to compare Mahomes to the Golden State Warriors‘ star point guard Steph Curry because of his unique playstyle. Check out some of the reactions below.
On the sporting side of things, Mahomes and the Kansas City-based football team are preparing to defend their Super Bowl title in the upcoming season. They have a tough schedule ahead of them, but if Mahomes can stay healthy, the Chiefs can certainly win their third Super Bowl ring in the last five years.
The Chiefs’ 2023 campaign will begin with a preseason matchup against the New Orleans Saints next weekend. The real test, however, will begin on September 7, when they are scheduled to face the Detroit Lions in their season opener.
