The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is currently preparing to defend the Super Bowl trophy in the upcoming NFL season. Amidst this, his controversial brother Jackson Mahomes, who is currently facing criminal charges, shared a throwback picture of him and Mahomes with their mother, Randi Mahomes.

Ahead of the Chiefs season opener against the Detroit Lions in a few days, Jackson took to social media to show some support to his brother. On Thursday, Jackson posted an adorable childhood picture of Patrick and Jackson wearing the same outfits and posing with their mother, Randi Mahomes. Jackson tagged his brother and mother on his Instagram story.

Furthermore, Jackson also shared a picture of him standing next to Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes, and shared birthday wishes to his sister-in-law. These posts just come a few days after Jackson’s scheduled court hearing got postponed.

The preliminary hearing, which was initially scheduled to take place on Thursday, was postponed to October 24 since the Johnson County District Court Judge Thomas Sutherland caught Covid-19 according to a report from the Kansas City Star. Jackson was accused of sexual assault by a former Kansas City restaurant owner Aspen Vaughn. Later, CCTV footage of Jackson forcibly kissing Vaughn was released on social media, which backed her claims.

The 25-year-old Jackson Mahomes is now facing three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one misdemeanor battery. He was arrested back in May and was released on a $100k bond after pleading not guilty. On the other hand, Vaughn ended up closing her restaurant business since her business suffered from the publicity she received because of the case.

Under the combination of the ingenious head coach Andy Reid and the star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are looking to become the next dynasty in the NFL.

Despite their dominant run in the last few years, when they have been to 5 straight AFC games and have 2 Super Bowls, many people are still not giving the dynasty title to the Kansas City-based franchise since they haven’t successfully defended their title yet. Now, the Chiefs have a shot at winning consecutive Super Bowls and officially become the next dynasty.

They are set to start their 2023 campaign in just a few days with a tough home game against the Lions on September 7. The Chiefs will look to set the tone for the rest of the season by winning in a dominant fashion against the Detroit-based football team.
