Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will have to wait until January 2024 for the preliminary hearing of his felony case, 5 months after he was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery following the incident at a local restaurant in Overland Park.

The 23-year-old brother of the Super Bowl champion was caught on camera attempting to forcefully kiss the owner of a restaurant. He had grabbed her forcefully by the neck and was caught on camera. The owner, 40-year-old Aspen Vaughn, told The Kansas City Star that Jackson was out of his mind and was trying to say, “We should be a power couple,” to her.

The TikTok star had pushed a waiter at the restaurant and faces a misdemeanor count of battery for the same. He was freed on a $100,000 bond earlier. The preliminary hearing, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, has now been moved to January as per Radar Online.

Jackson’s defense requested the court to grant them a 30-day continuance which the court has obliged to do. The brother of quarterback Patrick Mahomes maintains that he is innocent.

His legal team had stated:

Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson's accuser, including the statements of several witnesses.

Following the incident, Jackson Mahomes has stayed low-key. While he is a regular at the Kansas City Chiefs games, he has not been making as much noise off the field as he did before.

Recently, he got Taylor Swift into trouble as the popstar, who is going out with Travis Kelce, was seen hanging out with him at Arrowhead Stadium. This led to her being criticized by her fanbase for hanging out with an individual who had been accused of a sexual crime.
