Restaurant where Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson allegedly sexually assaulted the owner shuts down

Tragedy seems to be following an Overland Park restaurant in Kansas City since Jackson Mahomes tried to force himself on one of its employees. Now the owners have decided to shut down the business until further notice on their Facebook page.
This news comes after the owner of the establishment Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, Aspen Vaughn, revealed that she had made a mistake by calling the police earlier this month. She stated that they lost more than 75% of her business profits. Things aren’t the same as before, and she wants everything to “just go back to normal.”
“What happened that evening wasn’t OK,” Vaughn told FOX4’s Malik Jackson. “We have our lives to live and to go on. But I feel like a lot of people just came after us.” Apart from that, “We’ve had gas pipes, AC pipes cut from the outside, you name it, it’s pretty much happened.”
On February 25, Jackson Mahomes, who is the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, allegedly shoved one of the employees. Afterward, he forcefully grabbed Aspen Vaughn by the throat and kissed her three times on the mouth without her consent. One of the CCTV cameras in the restaurant captured the incident, which was released by TMZ.
Nearly three months later, on May 3rd, the local police arrested Jackson Mahomes. They charged the 22-year-old with three counts of aggravated sexual battery. However, he was released from custody after paying a $100,000 bond following his first court hearing.
Furthermore, KMBC9 reported that Vaughn has decided to close the shop until further notice. Meanwhile, Jackson Mahomes is due to appear in court again on August 31st.

After the video, the only definitive proof of the incident surfaced, Jackson Mahomes’ attorney, Brandon Davies, questioned its legitimacy, saying, “Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context.”
Moreover, he had this to say about Aspen Vaughn’s struggles after the case became public: “I have not viewed the entirety of the interview. Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context.” He refused to make further comments about the plaintiff.
