Within just five years in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes is already being compared to some of the great quarterbacks of all time like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana. Mahomes now has 2x Super Bowls, 2x Super Bowl MVPs, 2x NFL MVPs, and 1x Offensive Player of the Year Award under his belt, which is more than some veteran quarterbacks in the league.
Come to think of it, he is just 27 years old! Brady played till he was 45 years, so one can imagine the kind of accolades he will have to his name if he played for another 15 years.
Mahomes’ performance in Super Bowl LVII was among one of his best this season. He completed 21 of 27 passing attempts for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns. Despite his ankle injury being aggravated during the game, he played like a true champion and rushed for 44 yards on 6 carries. Baby GOAT has now won two Super Bowls in the last four years and looks like he is well on his way to establishing the Chiefs dynasty in the NFL.
Patrick Mahomes gets the royal treatment at Disneyland
Super Bowl LVII ended on a highly controversial note with Eagles cornerback James Bradberry given a holding penalty, which drained the clock to 11 seconds and gave the Chiefs a chance to kick the field goal and take home the Lombardi Trophy. After Jalen Hurts threw the football with all his might during four seconds left in regulation, the confetti was shot off, and Kansas City’s players, coaches, and the entire staff ran onto the field as they had won the Super Bowl in a nail-biting thriller.
Family members of every player flooded the field to congratulate them. The star of the night, Patrick Mahomes, was greeted by his parents, wife and daughter and his brother. It was an emotional moment for them, as the quarterback had become the next great thing in the NFL. After the Super Bowl victory, Mahomes took his wife Brittany and their kids to Disneyland.
The Chiefs quarterback also revealed the face of his baby boy Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III in a picture he shared on his social media handles. Mahomes and his family were given the VIP treatment with bus rides all around Disneyland, and fans also lined up to greet the Super Bowl champion. It was a fun and sweet family moment for Mahomes and a great way to spend the day after winning the World Championship.
