Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert are two of the best QBs in the NFL. Mahomes is probably the best player in the league at the moment. A two-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, he has been at the top of the QB pyramid since his rookie season. He helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVII last year en route to winning the Super Bowl MVP.
Justin Herbert on the other hand has been consistently putting up monster seasons for the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he has lacked the team success that Mahomes has had. Herbert has made the playoffs only once since being drafted in 2020. Although he has been stellar, his team has consistently found ways to lose games. He has started the 2023 season well but the Chargers are 2-2 to begin the season.
Both Mahomes and Herbert recently appeared in a Subway commercial. It starts with Mahomes talking about Subway’s MVP rewards. Herbert appears in the frame after that holding a Subway sandwich, asking Mahomes if the Super Bowl MVP’s get all the perks. The two-time league MVP had a cheeky response to that saying, “I’m talking about Subway MVP. It’s a way bigger deal.”
Mahomes also appeared on another Subway commercial with other famous athletes such as NBA legend Stephen Curry and tennis star Rafael Nadal. This isn’t the first time Herbert and Mahomes have appeared in the same commercial, however, this is the first instance of them sharing the same screen together.

Mahomes shared the commercial on his Twitter account. Some fans have accused the Kansas City Chiefs QB of being a sellout, whereas others are stoked to see them in the same frame. Here are some of the reactions to the commercial.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking to defend their Super Bowl title this year as they have started the season 3-1. Los Angeles Chargers, on the other hand are 2-2. Herbert, however, is playing at an MVP level to start the season. Both these QBs will play each other on October 22. It is bound to be a fun match up.
