No one in the world is perfect no matter how hard they try and the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the perfect example of it. Mahomes is one of the greatest QBs to ever sling the pigskin. At just 27 years of age, the Chiefs’ QB has already won 2 Super Bowl rings, 2 NFL MVPs, and 2 Super Bowl MVPs. These achievements alone will make him a Hall of Famer, even if he never played a snap again.
The sixth-year quarterback helped his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, to win their third-ever Super Bowl ring by beating the NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The 2022-league MVP Mahomes threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns and he also had 44 rushing yards. For his contributions, Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP.
However, it seems like people have found one Patrick Mahomes is not good at and that’s his music taste. Following his Super Bowl victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, the 2-time All-Pro quarterback made an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show to talk about the victory. During the show, he revealed that the EDM band, The Chainsmokers, and the rapper DJ Khaled were part of the entertainment.
Furthermore, while mentioning the two, Mahomes mentioned, “You can’t beat that man. It’s every genre of music you need right there.” This atrocious statement by the 5-time Pro Bowler didn’t sit well with the fans on social media, who started to roast his music taste.
Social media rips the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes for his music taste
NFL fans on social media unsurprisingly started to mock the greatest player in the league over his questionable music taste. Furthermore, fans started to compare him with the likes of Tom Brady and LeBron James and concluded that great athletes have no choice but to be corny, since all they care about is the sport they love and nothing else.
Moreover, some people jokingly labeled the 2-time Super Bowl Champion Patrick Mahomes’ music taste a little too ‘white’ and commented about how he needs to diversify his music playlist in the future.
Nevertheless, the Chiefs QB would be much more worried about how he has to prepare to lead his team to a Super Bowl victory once again rather than his music choices. The Chiefs would be looking to get the band back together and try to repeat their success in the next season.
