Patrick Mahomes OPENS UP about how being a father helped him become a better football player

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is currently the best player in the league. At just 27 years of age, Mahomes has already won 2 league MVP awards, 2 championship rings, and 2 Super Bowl MVPs. The talented QB recently opened up about the support of his wife Brittany Mahomes and their two children during this journey.
During the premiere of the Netflix documentary series ‘Quarterback’, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes sat down with Nate Burleson of CBS for an interview. In the interview, Mahomes revealed how having two children has helped him understand some things better than before.
“The season was amazing,” Mahomes told CBS Mornings.“But being a dad now, too, and getting to enjoy that in the off-season, I think that’s been the best part.”
Mahomes and his wife Brittany are parents of a 2-year-old daughter and a six-month-old son. The children have changed the perspective of the quarterback on life and football.
“Being able to go home and see my daughter and see my son, I have a better understanding of being present and enjoying it. That translates to the football field,” Mahomes said. “And we’ve been on a heck of a run. But I’m trying to enjoy those moments, ’cause I know it doesn’t last forever, even though we want it to.'”
Additionally, Mahomes also praised his wife, Brittany, claiming that he wouldn’t have been the same without her by his side. Brittany and Patrick met when they were just teenagers, before his fame and fortune. They have been together for more than a decade now.

The Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is winning on and off the football field. He is a 2 time Super Bowl champion and is the future of the Kansas City-based football team. He is also husband to the beautiful Brittany Mahomes, who has been by his side for more than a decade.
Patrick and Brittany first met when they were teenagers at Whitehouse High School in East Texas. They began dating back in March 2012 when he was a sophomore and she was a junior at Whitehouse.
After dating for more than a decade, the pair finally exchanged vows on March 12, 2022, at a private wedding in Maui, Hawaii. They have two children together and continue to be one of the most beautiful couples in the NFL.
On the sporting side of things, Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking to defend their crown in the upcoming season. This time, the competition will be tougher, but the Chiefs would be ready for any kind of challenge as long as their franchise QB stays healthy.
