Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is currently taking part in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. Many famous sports personalities are also present at the event including Mexican boxer, Canelo Alvarez.

A hilarious incident happened on the golf course between Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Canelo Alvarez. The middleweight world champion was casually strolling down while shadowboxing when out of nowhere Mahomes came up and squares against him.

Canelo too wasn’t going to shy away and took positions as well, ready for the fight. However, Patrick Mahomes quickly understood that this was not at all going to be in his favor and held up his arms, declaring forfeit. That was probably the right decision by Mahomes, as Canelo would be an unfair fight.

Patrick Mahomes even put up the clip on his social media with the caption -“Y’all saw how far away I was??.” Canelo on his part posted pictures of the incident on his Instagram page.

Canelo Alvarez and Patrick Mahomes had another fun moment during the golf tournament, but this time around it was related to basketball. Mahomes had the opportunity to show off his basketball skills and made quite a shot from far out.

Canelo was heavily impressed by this and turned around to give a nod of appreciation to the two-time Super Bowl champion. Mahomes would feel he is better off playing golf and basketball with Canelo rather than boxing.

The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship is taking place at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada. Currently, NBA star Steph Curry is leading the charts as he finished on top of the leaderboard for the second day in a row. Steph Curry started brilliantly in the first round scoring 23. And then scored 27 on day 2 to hold onto his lead. He is the favorite to win with odds of 12-1.

He is leading with 50 points with NFL stars Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr behind in 12th position and 18th position respectively. Seems like the NFL men need to learn a thing or two about golf from the NBA star!
