Super Bowl LVII was one of the best championship games ever played. Both teams, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, were neck-to-neck until the end, and there was never a dull moment. The Eagles looked strong as they started the game and entered the second half with a 10-point lead, but the defense came up short and couldn’t stop the Chiefs from covering the lead and making a last-minute comeback.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had an amazing performance and led his team from the front like a true leader. He ended the night with 304 yards, and one touchdown and rushed for 70 yards and 3 touchdowns. His performance was lauded by everyone in the league, and many, including the Chiefs players, felt that Hurts should’ve won the Super Bowl MVP.
But Patrick Mahomes rightly owned the Super Bowl MVP for the way he led the Chiefs despite aggravating his ankle injury early on in the game. This makes Mahomes second Super Bowl and second Super Bowl MVP and also his second league MVP. The sixth-year quarterback has already etched his name in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Despite the awards and glory, Patrick Mahomes hasn’t let it go to his head and let himself loose. The 27-year-old has already started working out and prepping for the 2023 season. Bobby Stroupe, the trainer who has been working with Mahomes since grade school, shared a story on Instagram showing him do a drill in the sand. Stroupe is the president of the Athlete Performance Enhancement Center (APEC) where he trains NFL and MLB players. He has watched the Chiefs QB all throughout his year and has been the key individual behind Mahomes’ agility.
Fans were mighty impressed by Patrick Mahomes, who isn’t satisfied with his achievements just yet and is already working for the next season. He gave off a Tom Brady vibe who also used to start training right off the bat after the season ended. Here’s how Twitter reacted to Mahomes’ grit and determination to be the best there ever was.
