The wild saga of Xaviar Babudar, popularly known as the Kansas City Chiefs superfan ChiefsAholic has seemingly come to an end for now. Just a few days ago new reports emerged that Babudar won $100,000 while betting on the Chiefs and their star QB Patrick Mahomes during the 2022 regular season. Now, he gets indicted on multiple charges of bank robberies and money laundering.
As stated by the U.S. attorney’s office for the Western District of Missouri, the 29-year-old Xaviar Babudar has been indicted on 19 criminal charges for robbing several banks and laundering that money through casinos. He was charged with “3 counts of armed robbery, 1 count of bank theft, 11 counts of money laundering, and four counts of transporting stolen goods across the state borders”.
He has been accused of stealing over $800,000 from multiple banks. Additionally, the prosecutors also accuse ChiefsAholic of using the stolen money to attend the Chiefs games and also placing bets on the Kansas City-based football team and their quarterback Patrick Mahomes. This announcement comes a month after Babudar was arrested while he was on the run evading police.
ChiefsAholic was arrested last December and was released on bail in February. He plead not guilty to the charges of armed robbery. While still on bail, Babudar reportedly broke his ankle monitor and was on the run until he was arrested in California back in July. And now, new reports have revealed that Babudar received a check for $100k from a casino for winning some bets.

While on bail, the Chiefs superfan Xaviar Babudar reportedly received a check of $100k for winning multiple bets. According to multiple reports, Babudar bet $5,000 on the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes winning the Super Bowl MVP award back on June 10, 2022.
Both his bets hit and Babudar received the check from Argosy Casino in early March 2023. The attorney’s office said that Babudar lived “lived a nomadic existence at various locations around the Kansas City metropolitan area.”
He was able to attend Kansas City’s games with the money he stole from multiple financial institutions. ChiesAholic got famous among the Chiefs fans as he constantly attended their games while wearing a gray wolf suit.
And now, Babudar remains in federal custody without bail. He is scheduled to be put on trial on Friday. His attorney insists that Babudar is not guilty and will soon prove his innocence to the public and the Chiefs kingdom.
