The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the third Super Bowl ring in the franchise’s history after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles back in February. The Chiefs have been celebrating their victories with parades, White House visits, etc. In that trend, the Chiefs held a private ceremony to present their players, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, their 2022 Super Bowl ring.

On Thursday, the Chiefs held a private ceremony in Kansas City to give the coveted jewelry to their players, coaches, and staff. The Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, star QB Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and many more attended the ceremony to get their rings.

“What I’m most excited to see is their expression when they receive their new rings,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told NFL Network’s Jeffri Chadiha during the pre-ceremony red carpet arrival. “Because the rings are absolutely spectacular. But it’s also a chance for us to properly celebrate our Super Bowl victory right.”

When the Chiefs won their second ring back in 2019, they weren’t able to host this kind of ceremony due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They held a socially distanced ceremony in the Arrowhead Stadium to distribute the rings. But now, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce got their first experience of a true ring presentation ceremony and they were left stunned when they got their rings.

The 2022 Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and all the other Chiefs players, coaches, and staff got their Super Bowl ring in a ceremony on Thursday. The rings made by Jostens had elite craftsmanship and explicit work done on them.

According to multiple reports, the rings that were crafted to honor the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory and the franchise’s history were made up of 609 round diamonds, 16 baguette diamonds, 4 marquise diamonds, and 35 rubies totaling 16.10 carats.

The rings had the Chiefs’ championship (1969, 2019, 2021) years forged on it on one side and had the words “Chiefs Kingdom” inscribed on it on the other side as a tribute to the Chiefs’ fanbase.

Furthermore, the jewelry also had a cool feature, as the top of the ring is removable. Once removed, the ring’s inside possesses a replica of the Chiefs’ home field Arrowhead Stadium.

The inside of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring had the words EDGE on it. Apparently, it was the head coach, Andy Reid’s motto entering into the 2022 season while the bottom of the ring had the initials of Lamar Hunt (LH) as a tribute.
