The New England Patriots are struggling to win games this season. They played the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and lost the game 21-17. With that loss, the team has now slipped to 1-5 to begin the season. Their offense struggled throughout the game, with only 259 offensive yards. The Pats have struggled offensively this season, and their starting QB, Mac Jones, continues to have a bad season.
Jones has completed 64 percent of his passes for 1,208 yards this season. He has five touchdowns and seven interceptions with a passer rating of just 74.4. It was another day of struggle for the third-year signal-caller against the Raiders on Sunday. He completed the game with 200 yards and zero touchdowns with one interception. However, the young QB remains confident about the Patriots’ season. He talked to the media after the game.
“Yeah, I’m confident,” Jones told the reporters in his press conference. “I think that comes from years of experience and earning respect from people. And I think I’ve done that. But, once again, I’m trying to win every game that I play in and I’m not doing it.” He continued, “So, I definitely need to improve, but gotta keep swinging. If you don’t swing, you’re not gonna get any hits. So, definitely going to keep swinging.”
The Patriots are in a hole that might be too big for them to climb out of. Having lost five out of the six games, their playoff hopes have started to dwindle, and it will be a surprise if they manage to somehow get into the postseason. They will play their next game against the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.

Mac Jones talks about crucial drop from WR DeVante Parker
The New England Patriots lost their game against the Las Vegas Raiders and slipped to 1-5. During the game’s final minutes, they had a chance to win, but a devastating drop from WR DeVante Parker meant that the Patriots failed to move the chains, which ultimately resulted in a safety for the Raiders to win the game.
QB Mac Jones talked about that drop pass after the game. “DP is a great deep-ball threat, and we kind of agreed that we wanted that route,” Jones said. “So, just tough, tough play. If it goes one way, we might go down there and win. If it goes the other way, we don’t. It’s just tough.”
The Patriots have now lost five games this season. They are struggling on both sides of the ball, and Jones is not having a great year. They will hope to turn things around as soon as possible. The Pats will host the Buffalo Bills at the Gillette Stadium in their next game.
