The NFL is a huge league and there are interesting characters everywhere. One such character who has captivated the league this season is Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.
He has been brilliant as the Dolphins’ HC this season and even better as a mic’d-up individual on the sidelines. McDaniel has provided some gems to the football world through his press conferences, and he has been an entertainer throughout the season.

The ManningCast of the Monday Night Football got first-hand experience with Mike McDaniel. The host of the show, Peyton Manning, revealed a text he sent to the Dolphins’ head coach asking to talk to him about the MNF game between the Dolphins and the Tennessee Titans. McDaniel’s response to that was hilarious, to say the least.
Any chance I can talk to you for 10 mins [about MNF]."Manning sent a text to McDaniel
Um f*** yea, you're f****** Payton Manning bro.The Dolphins coach responded
Manning pointed out McDaniel’s typing error during the show to his brother and co-host Eli Manning.
The reaction was kind of mixed, Eli. He seemed excited, yet he spelled my name wrong.Peyton Manning said
McDaniel has led the Dolphins to a 9-4 record this season. They are currently the second seed in the AFC and are looking to grab the number one seed to get a first-round bye in the playoffs. They lost their Monday Night matchup against the Titans and will look to bounce back against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Mike McDaniel talks about the Dolphins’ collapse against the Titans on Monday
The Miami Dolphins led their week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans by 14 points with just 5 minutes remaining in the game. However, the Titans pulled off an epic comeback to seal a 28-27 win as they scored 15 unanswered points. Dolphins’ HC Mike McDaniel talked about the collapse after the game.

We all get to share the blame. I think everybody had their hand in it. I don't think people went through the motions during the week. It was a really, really good week of practice, I thought. But you had a lot of yards given up in a short amount of time. You had a shorter field position, and you had an offense that went three-and-out. That's literally the only way that that could happen.McDaniel said
The Dolphins are one of the contenders in the AFC and are expected to make a deep run in the playoffs. They were in a similar position last year as well, but collapsed after an 8-3 start to the season. McDaniel and company would hope that this doesn’t happen again this season.
