The NFL playoffs are a different beast. The atmosphere is absolutely electric this time of the year in all stadiums across the country. The AFC and NFC championships concluded earlier today, and both games were thrilling and had us excited throughout. The NFC championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers was bound to be a game to remember. However, due to injuries during the game, the latter team was put at a significant disadvantage in comparison to the former.

The Philadelphia Eagles won the game with a commanding 31-7. San Francisco had their hopes pinned on Brock Purdy, the one and only ‘Mr.Irrelevant’ as he is infamously known but what they feared the most happened as Purdy had to be taken out of the game with an elbow injury. The 49ers ended up reverting to Josh Johnson, their 4th string quarterback. While this move bogged down the spirits of the visitors, the fans of the home team could not have been happier as this gave Jalen Hurts and the squad a clearer shot to win the game.

Philly was electric for the entire night, and videos of fans moving into Lincoln Financial Stadium showed the atmosphere around the city. The city loves sports and they have supported their teams, such as the Eagles and the 76ers, through their worst and best years. It was the same case before the Eagles-49ers matchup as well. A video taken by a group of fans vouching for the San Francisco 49ers surfaced.

The video makes one thing evident. Being a fan of the visiting team at Lincoln Fields today was nothing short of going to war. Eagles fans were swarming around the stadium and were camped out in the parking lot. As the fans of the 49ers were proceeding toward the stadium, they were welcomed by a lot of boos and fans in Eagles jerseys flipping them off by giving them the finger.

It just goes to show how passionate the city of Philadelphia is about its team. As the 49ers fans walked toward the stadium, a fan of the home team approaches them and hilariously asks “What part of Camden did you grow up in?” This video did attract a fair share of criticism as fans online were enraged about how opposition fans were being treated and disrespected. Some of the tweets expressed the thought that maybe Philly fans were going a bit overboard with the disrespect. Take a look at how Twitterati reacted to this video:

Come on, Philadelphia isn’t that bad. They got the best cheesesteaks, that has to count for something?

You can see why that is. They treat fans like they’re going to all-out war with them.

San Francisco is just cursed at QB this season.

While Philadelphia may be the best city to play for, it surely does not help when you go against them. The fans are extremely passionate and are a big aspect of why the team has been able to have an outstanding record in the NFL this season. Love them or hate them, Philly fans don’t care when it comes to what others have to say regarding their passion for sports!
