Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Zach Pascal was robbed at gunpoint early on Saturday morning in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Police officers in Prince George’s County said in a statement that two suspects approached Pascal and robbed him as reported by 6ABC.

Pascal was treated at the scene for some minor injuries after the suspects stole a diamond necklace from him. Philadelphia has been in constant contact with the wide receiver and the team is “happy to hear he’s doing fine.”

This event wasn’t the first one this year that happened with Philly’s players. Cornerback C. J. Gardner-Johnson had his car stolen after the Eagles wiped the floor with the New York Giants in the divisional playoffs game in January. Gardner-Johnson revealed on his Instagram Live that his car was stolen from the parking lot and he knew who exactly had done this ghastly act. “I know exactly who took my car,” Gardner-Johnson was heard saying in the video. “I know exactly who stole my s—, bro. Yeah, don’t worry about it, we got y’all on camera. Wow. Wow, that’s how y’all gettin down in Philly?”

It seems some of the Eagles players had to endure extra struggles this year, apart from their Super Bowl loss last month.

Zach Pascal signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Commanders in the 2017 NFL draft. He was only with the team for the offseason and was waived by the Commanders and later signed by the Tennessee Titans. His career did not start with the Titans as well but he got the start he needed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018.

The 28-year-old spent four years with the Colts and had 150 receptions for 1,888 yards and 15 touchdowns. He then signed a one-year contract with the Eagles that saw him reunite with former Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni.

Let’s hope Zach Pascal recovers from his horrible incident and comes back stronger in the 2023 season.
