Nothing makes a mother happier than being recognized by her child’s name. And looks like L’Jarius Sneed‘s mom has experienced that feeling and she couldn’t be more proud. 

After scoring a grand victory in the wild-card round against the Miami Dolphins by 26-7, the Kansas City Chiefs have been advanced to the divisional round where they are up against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. While flying to see her son, who has been having another solid season with the Chiefs as a cornerback, Sneed’s mother met with an absolutely surprising incident that she’ll never forget.

When Sneed’s mother introduced herself on the flight, saying, “I am  L’Jarius Sneed’s mom,” and waved her hands, her co-passengers went totally wind. They began hooting and cheering with loud claps for the proud mother getting ready to see her ace the football field once again.

In the regular season, the Chiefs’ cornerback logged a total of 78 tackles along with two interceptions, and broke off 15 passes. As his team went into the postseason, Sneed recorded four tackles and two pass breakups, contributing to his team’s victory over the Dolphins. 

However, due to his calf injury, the status of Sneed playing in the AFC Divisional round had been markedly uncertain. But seeing his mother traveling all the way to the Highmark Stadium in New York, it seems the cornerback is definitely playing the game. 

L’Jarius Sneed’s calf injury can be a concern

As per the reports, the Chiefs’ top defensive back sustained a calf injury in the first half of week 16th loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, due to which he momentarily left the field but was able to play the game later on.

Despite the injury, he has been a major contributor to the Chiefs’ last three victories, including the wild card round of playoffs.

However, he was a limited participant in all three practice sessions of the Chiefs this week. But of course, considering how crucial the upcoming game is for the reigning Super Bowl winner, the talented Sneed is likely to suit up.
