The New York Jets have become the focal point of the HBO and NFL Films series, Hard Knocks, for various compelling reasons. The combination of factors is striking: Aaron Rodgers‘ captivating persona, the team’s prominent location in New York, and the presence of individuals like DT Quinnen Williams. Every practice session is filled with some excellent moments and that is reflected in the show.

One such funny moment occurred during the Jets’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the latest edition of Hard Knocks, Quinnen Williams was seen complaining about being called fat by Buccaneers’ WR Mike Evans. “Mike Evans called me fat. He called me fat bro,” Williams complained to his teammates.

One of Williams’ teammates hilariously chipped in and said, “I would say you’re not skinny.” Regarded as one of the league’s elite defensive tackles, Williams is poised for a standout season, buoyed by his diligent off-season work and standout training camp showing. Being called fat by a wide receiver is something any defenseman would hate to hear.

In their second preseason match, the Jets squared off against the Buccaneers, with the latter emerging victorious at 13-6. Notably, Evans and Williams were absent from the game.

Looking ahead, the Jets are set to kick off their season against the Buffalo Bills on September 12th, while the Buccaneers are slated to face the Minnesota Vikings on September 10th. Both Evans and Williams are undoubtedly aiming for impactful seasons with their respective teams.

Defensive tackle of the New York Jets, Quinnen Williams is the unquestioned leader of the Jets’ defense. He is one of the best defenders in the league and will be expected to do big things for the Jets this season. Williams was voted as the 40th best player in the NFL by his peers last season in the Top 100 Players of 2023.

He has had a great training camp and looks sharp. He recently signed a four-year deal with the Jets for $96 million, making him the second-highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL.

He has been a wrecking ball in joint practices, claiming to have 10 sacks against the Carolina Panthers in one of the practices. Williams is a star on the field, but he has been a bigger star on the HBO series Hard Knocks and has been a constant feature on the show. The Jets will play the Buffalo Bills on the first MNF game of the season on September 11. Williams will hope to cause havoc on game night.
