The Las Vegas Raiders had yet another disappointing season as they finished the 2022 campaign with a 6-11 record. The Raiders lost five games where they had double-digit leads heading into the second half of the game. It was extremely frustrating for the team because their veteran quarterback Derek Carr was under center for 10 of the team’s losses this season.

Las Vegas benched Carr for the last three games and backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham was called in place of him. After the season ended, Carr penned an emotional note thanking all the fans that have supported him for nine years. It came as a surprise because just last year, he signed a three-year, $121.5 million contract extension with the team that had a no-trade clause.

Now, with the exit of Derek Carr, the Raiders are in need of a new quarterback and fans are already suggesting the team sign Aaron Rodgers, who is also looking for a new place to play his 19th season in the NFL. Wherever he goes, he will increase the team’s odds in super bowl betting online all over the world.

After failing to take the Green Bay Packers to the postseason, Aaron Rodgers once again began contemplating his future in the league and talked about the possibility of retiring or leaving Green Bay to play for another team. Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams who was Rodgers’ teammate with the Packers sent a tweet suggesting the 39-year-old come down to Las Vegas.

Now, Darren Waller, tight end for the Raiders is elated at having the 4x NFL MVP throw him passes and touchdowns. “If you come, it’s gonna be lit,” Waller said via TMZ Sports. “If he comes, I’d be a happy camper.” The 30-year-old tight end has had a difficult time due to his substance abuse but bounced back in 2019 as he went for 1,145 yards in 90 receptions for 3 touchdowns. He then cemented his place as one of the best tight ends in the league the following year with his career-high 1196 receiving yards and was named to his first Pro Bowl.

Then there was a steep drop in his production as he went for just 1,053 yards in 2021 and 2022 combined. If the Raiders bring Aaron Rodgers on the roster, then Waller might benefit greatly from this trade as he would be restored to his Pro Bowl self once again. Still, nothing is set in stone for the Super Bowl XLV champion who is contemplating where he wants to play if at all he plays in 2023.

It’ll be interesting to see where Aaron Rodgers lands for the next season. The Raiders are already loaded with weapons on their offense making it a great place for him to play what might be his last season in the NFL. Players are already on cloud nine at the prospect of having Rodgers on the team so it is all up to the Raiders’ front office if they are willing to bet everything on the veteran quarterback for a Super Bowl trophy or not.
