“Had to hear him B** for 3 years”: Julian Edelman reveals a SCARY side of Randy Moss that nobody knew
Dean Pees and Randy Moss
Randy Moss is arguably one of the greatest wide receivers to ever grace the football field, he has achieved everything that a wideout could and is well-deservedly in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there is one thing that his resume lacks and that is a Super Bowl ring. The Super Bowl is the reason every athlete in the NFL works so hard and gives the game their everything, it is the ultimate prize, and it is what every NFL player dreams about.
Randy Moss may not have won a Super Bowl but he did come close to it, in SB XLII, the New England Patriots faced off against the New York Giants led by Eli Manning, the game was a close one and it came down to the wire. Unfortunately, the Pats lost that game and Moss was so mad following the loss that he could not get over it for years. He blamed the defensive coordinator Dean Pees for calling a poor play and having a blown coverage.

Randy Moss never let Dean Pees forget his mistake:
Julian Edelman shared a story about how Moss kept taking shots at Dean Pees following that fatal mistake in his podcast, though the incident happened two years prior to Edelman’s arrival in New England, he was familiar with the whole situation within a week of practice because of how often Moss kept bringing it up. The incident is as follows:
It was the game-winning touchdown catch in Super Bowl 42 and Eli Manning threw the ball to Plaxico Burress who was open in the left corner of the end zone. This play put the Giants ahead with 36 seconds left in the game. The defense was playing “Blitz Zero”, there is no free safety in this play and there was a huge mismatch as well. Ellis Hobbs who is 5’9 went against 6’5 Plaxico Burress.
“I had to hear Randy Moss b**** at Dean Pees for three years every Friday at practice. ‘Hey Dean, that f****** Blitz Zero, Eli and Plaxico got that s***, Dean. Better throw that bulls**t out.’ I swear to God, I have nightmares of that,” Edelman narrates the incident. Moss always reminded Dean Pees of his mistake and made sure he regretted it. It comes as no surprise that Tom Brady bonded well with Randy Moss as both of them have the same mentality. Brady is also known to hold on to small things in general and take it out on people who do not do their job well enough.
