The New England Patriots once had almost a perfect season back in 2007. It came under the combination of Tom Brady and the legendary wide receiver Randy Moss. And now, more than 15 years later, Moss shared the story of how he pleaded with Brady to recruit him to the Patriots before that season.
During the recent episode of LOL Network’s Cold as Balls show with Kevin Hart, Moss revealed how he snuck into Brady’s room ahead of the Patriots road game against the Minnesota Vikings on October 30, 2006.

This is what Moss said:
I tell my old teammate like, hey, man, can you do me a favor? I said man, could you go knock on Tom's door? Give me five minutes. So Tom comes in and I say, look, I'm gonna cut to the chase, I know you got a big game tonight, look, I want to play with you, walked out the door. Randy Moss played for the Oakland Raiders at the time, but he was in Minnesota on that day. Moss still had a house in Minnesota, which he bought during his 7-year tenure with the Vikings. Moss was frustrated with his role at the Raiders and decided to join forces with Tom Brady and the Patriots to have a shot at winning a Super Bowl ring.
At that time, Brady had already led the Patriots to 3 Super Bowl rings. So Moss might’ve thought he had a greater chance at getting the ring while playing for the New England-based football team.

Following the unconventional request from Randy Moss, the New England quarterback Tom Brady took that request to higher management, and the Patriots’ general manager Bill Belichick jumped right on the opportunity to rope in the legendary pass catcher.

This is what Randy Moss said about joining the Patriots:
Then I get a call from Belichick about becoming a Patriot. I'm in Houston, Texas, at a party, about to walk through the door, I hang up on Belichick three times, and he calls me back. Go there '07 and broke several recordsRandy Moss via Cold as Balls show
During the 2007 off-season, the Patriots acquired Randy Moss from the Raiders in exchange for the 2007 fourth-round Draft pick. That season, Moss created an NFL record by catching the most touchdown passes in a single season (23) and helped the Pats win all of their regular season games. Brady even won his first MVP award in that season.
After winning all their regular season games and two playoff games, the Patriots shockingly fell one game short of a perfect season following an upset loss against the New York Giants. Moss played with the Patriots for four seasons before heading back to Minnesota in 2010.
