Jordan Love backed up Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay for the past three years. He is now the unquestioned QB1 of the Packers, with Rodgers leaving for New York. There was a lot of pressure on Love coming into this season. His first game this season came against a divisional rival in Chicago Bears. Love impressed as the Packers defeated the Bears in dominant fashion.

Everything went well for the Packers, as the offense scored 38 points. On the other side, the defense held the Bears to only 20 points. Love had a good game as he threw for three touchdowns and made key plays throughout the game. After the game, his teammates hyped him up, sending a message to everyone who doubted the young QB and the Packers.

In a video posted by the NFL on Twitter, Packers’ linebacker Rashan Gary had a strong message to Love’s doubters. He urged people to “stop playing with him.” Gary had a good game against the Bears after tearing his ACL in November last year. Love finished with 245 passing yards and three scores.

The Packers have now won their past nine games against the Bears, and this was their fifth straight win against the Chicago-based team in Soldier Field. They will visit Atlanta to play the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday, whereas the Bears will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium.

Jordan Love played his first game of the season against arch-rivals Chicago Bears. He came out slinging as the Green Bay Packers put up 38 points on the Bears defense, with Love scoring three TDs and throwing for 245 yards. After the game, head coach Matt LaFleur had high praise for his QB and said that the Packers have ‘big-time belief’ in their quarterback.

“There’s a big-time belief in that locker room for Jordan Love,” LaFleur said after the game. “I think the guys, they’re going to rally around him. They’re excited for him. They love him. They respect him. I think you saw that today.” Left guard Elton Jenkins felt like things would only get better for Love from here on.

The Packers have a young roster, and there are no expectations of a Super Bowl in Green Bay this season. However, if Love continues to improve and with good weapons on both sides of the ball, the Packers might have a chance to make the postseason this year. They will look to continue their win streak against the Atlanta Falcons in week 2.
