One of the most exciting rivalries in the NFL in recent years has been between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Led by two of the best QBs in the league, this rivalry has generated a lot of buzz around the league. And with young, talented players like the Chiefs’ Rashee Rice and the Bills’ Dalton Kincaid, this rivalry is here to stay for a long time.
The latest chapter of this story came on Sunday, as the Chiefs, for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, visited the Bills Stadium in the postseason. These two teams have played each other in the playoffs twice before with the Chiefs winning them both. Buffalo had a golden chance to win a playoff game against their arch-nemesis. However, they failed to do so after their kicker Tyler Bass missed a game-tying field goal late in the game.
Needless to say, the Chiefs absolutely loved it. And no one loved it more than their young stud Rashee Rice. In a video posted on Twitter, Rice can be seen trolling the Bills fans as soon as Bass missed the field goal. The video was divided into two parts, showcasing both the teams’ reactions to the missed kick. However, Rice’s reaction stole the show as he looked at the Bills fans and started laughing at them.
The Chiefs made their sixth consecutive AFC Championship game with a win over the Bills on Sunday. They will face the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore for the right to play in the Super Bowl. It will be an interesting matchup as the Chiefs will enter the game as the underdogs against the Ravens.
Rashee Rice takes a shot at Josh Allen by claiming that Patrick Mahomes is better than him
The Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills in Sunday’s Divisional Round game was a surprising one. They came into the game as the underdogs as everyone thought that the Bills would finally break the duck and get one over the Chiefs. However, that did not happen and Patrick Mahomes and company pulled off an impressive win.
Mahomes was at his efficient best and that was enough for the Chiefs to claim victory. After the game, the Chiefs’ young wideout Rashee Rice took a subtle dig at the Bills’ QB Josh Allen. Rice said when asked about his thoughts on Mahomes after the win:
What would you think about that? He's better than Josh.Rashee Rice said
Allen himself had a fantastic game on Sunday. He almost led his team to victory, but was denied by a heartbreaking missed field goal late in the game. This was the Bills’ third playoff loss to the Mahomes-led Chiefs in the last four years.
Kansas City will now take on the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game next Sunday. It will be their first conference title game away from the Arrowhead Stadium with Mahomes as their starting QB. The Bills on the other hand have entered the offseason with a lot of heartbreak and disappointment after yet another playoff failure.
