“Glad Ravens have ‘zero tolerance policy”: Ravens HC John Harbaugh clears his stance on Deshaun Watson’s inadequate suspension

The raging topic of debate in the whole of the NFL at the moment is the Deshaun Watson suspension. Baltimore Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh had a very clear stance on the subject but decided not to reveal much of it to the public media.
What John Harbaugh did instead was talk about Baltimore Ravens’ zero-tolerance policy for violence against women. This particular policy came into effect in 2014 after the Ray Rice incident, and the franchise has made it a point not to pursue players suspended under the Personal Conduct Policy.
John Harbaugh hailed the Baltimore Ravens owners for creating a violence-free environment at the franchise

“I do have a lot of opinions on it,” Harbaugh said Monday, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I’m just not at liberty to share them at this time. That’s for the league to decide.”
“I respect what Steve Bisciotti and Dick Cass created here almost 10 years ago,” Harbaugh said. “Basically, we’re kind of zero tolerance. You have to know the truth, you have to try to understand the circumstances, but we’ve stayed away from that particular situation – when we draft players, when we sign them as free agents. That’s Steve’s decision, and I’m glad that we have that policy.”
The Cleveland Browns quarterback who had 24 lawsuits against his name, filed by 24 different women got away with all of it with just a 6-game suspension, a punishment which many have thought to be inadequate given the allegations against him.
However, if Watson actually gets away with the 6-game suspension handed out by disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson, then his returning match would be against the Baltimore Ravens on the 23rd of October. The NFL can elongate the suspension if they see fit if they appeal the decision, which would then take matters into the hands of the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell to decide the eventual length of suspension for Deshaun Watson.
