Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most celebrated wide receivers in the NFL. He is known for his electrifying presence on the gridiron. However, the WR might find himself in trouble as the Baltimore Ravens may announce his departure in the coming weeks. The WR has been a part of the team for one season. He joined the Ravens in 2023 as a free agent after spending a whole season without football in 2022.

The contract of Beckham Jr. is on the verge of expiring. There are possibilities that the Ravens might not be interested in the WR after his not-so-great performance last year. He managed to register only 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season. In addition, he also had some injury issues, which dwindled his production.

In this context, head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Eric DeCosta seemed a bit skeptical about the contract of the WR. According to ESPN, Harbaugh did not directly address the question about OBJ’s contract extension and said only time can answer it.

On the other hand, GM DeCosta had a more optimistic answer about OBJ’s future in Baltimore. Still, he also said that he needs to asses the situation and see what happens before the start of the free agency.

If the Ravens failed to extend Odell Beckham Jr., then they have to look out for his replacement. According to reports, they could go for the New Orleans Saints wideout Michael Thomas.

However, there are some ifs and buts in the possible deal. The only concern that the Ravens have regarding the deal with Thomas is that the latter is injury-prone. His injuries cause a genuine concern for the Ravens to sign the player.
