Monday Night Football always brings out the best in everyone. Even though it was only a friendly game between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens, it was a crunch match like no other. Pride was at stake for both sides, as neither wanted anything other than a victory.
On one hand, the Ravens were fighting to keep their unbeaten preseason streak intact; on the other, the commanders vowed that FedEx would be where it ends. In the end, the capital franchise achieved what it set out to do. They defeated their Maryland rivals 29-28.
This signaled the end of the longest preseason winning streak by any franchise. The Ravens had gone 24 games without a defeat, which started back in 2015, three years before Lamar Jackson became their quarterback.
As the referee blew the whistle, fans erupted in the stands with loud cheers while the commanders paraded with the match ball. The drama spilled onto social media as funny trolls and clever memes poured in like it was 2004.
Washington commanders ending Baltimore Ravens 24 game winning streak resurface the famous Undertaker Wrestlemania victory record

Mark William Calaway, better known by his wrestling name, The Undertaker, had an amazing career in world wrestling entertainment. To this day, fans shriek upon hearing his name. He made a name for himself by playing the character of a supposed undying man who keeps coming back even after being battered and bruised. Not only that, the 58-year-old always evoked a sense of thrill and suspense while stepping into the ring.
However, fans around the globe will always remember The Undertaker because of all the great Wrestlemania bouts he fought and won during his career. The Texas native had accumulated a winning streak of 21 consecutive victories that came to an end in 2004 when he faced ‘The Animal,’ Brock Lesner. After the Washington Commanders defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, social media compared the two streaks.
Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:
Things were set in motion prior to the ball being kicked as the commander’s offensive tackle, Sam Cosmi, ridiculed the streak. “I think it’s a stu*** record!” he told ESPN. “Who gives a sh*t about preseason games? We’re going to beat it.”
He managed to back up the claim, as he was filmed doing the ‘giddy’ after his team scored a touchdown. But he has to forget all of that and focus on the next game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
