At the highest game stage of football, injuries tend to happen, and on Thursday, the M&T Stadium saw Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow go off injured as they lost the match. During the post-game press interview, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith said that Burrow’s injury was just an occupational hazard.
You know, he's a great player. I've got a lot of respect for him and the way he plays. But injury's part of the game, and so, you know, when you play the Ravens' D [defense], sometimes things like that happen.

Joe Burrow went off at the end of the second quarter when the score was 14-10 in favor of the Ravens. He was on the sidelines, practicing a few throws to get a better feel. But as soon as he tried to throw the ball, it came out of his hand and fell to the ground.
He was taken to the blue medical tent and then later to the infirmary inside the stadium. Later, news came in that the 26-year-old was having trouble gripping the ball properly. He did not rejoin the game. By that point, he had thrown 11/17 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Backup Jake Browning took over the reins for the rest of the game.
Roquan Smith once again proved why he is one of the best pass rushers in football
Besides the presence of Lamar Jackson in the squad, the Ravens possess a very mean defense. They currently rank second in yards allowed (273.5) through the first 10 weeks of football. The Roquan Smith-led defense is joint second-best when it comes to conceding touchdowns (15) alongside the Jets and is only behind the 49ers (14) as per FOX Sports.

The 26-year-old moved from Chicago to Baltimore midseason last year. Since then, he has been one of the best pass rushers in football. During the game against the Bengals, he completed six tackles and has a total of 118 tackles this season. But the only area he lacks is the sack counter (1.5). That doesn’t bother him, though.
I don't really care if I'm being honest. I was more concerned about the W. Like I told you before, that's what I truly care more about; it's not about statistics for me.Smith said on Wednesday.
He did not record any sacks against the Bengals either. However, the Ravens won the game 34-20 are now 8-3 from 11 games, and sit at the top of the AFC North. That’s the stat that matters the most in the long run as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers next matchday.
