Odell Beckham Jr. is looking forward to a reunion with his former teammates on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens welcome Sean McVay’s team at M&T Stadium, which will be Beckham’s first game against the Rams since he won a Super Bowl with them two seasons ago.
The veteran wide receiver looks to be on course for another Lombardi Trophy, this time with the Ravens, who have nine wins from 12 games in 2023. But when talking about his former team, he has nothing but fond memories of them, even though he was in LA for just one season.

On Wednesday, after practice, Beckham faced the media and revealed that he has nothing but respect for the Rams players:
It's a special bond I have with those guys over there, all love and respect.
Beckham gave Sean McVay immense credit for the Rams head coach’s influence on him. According to the 31-year-old, McVay is the reason he started loving football again. Here is what he had to say:
McVay brought me back to loving football and understanding true professionalism. It was one of the best things that's happened in my life.
Beckham signed for the Rams midway through the 2021 season, which got his season back on track. He finished the season with 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns in eight regular-season games at LA. Then he kicked it up a notch in the playoffs, racking up 21 catches, 288 yards, and two touchdowns.
Then came the Super Bowl LVI vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. He was on song once more with two catches for 58 yards before tearing his ACL as the Rams won 23-20.
Odell Beckham Jr. will be one of the captains for the Baltimore Ravens against the Los Angeles Rams
So far, the 2014 first-round picks’ season has not gone according to plan. 2023 was touted to be his comeback year, yet he has only been limited to 27 catches for 408 yards and 2 touchdowns. His best outing was against the Bengals in Week 11, securing four receptions for 116 yards.

However, the Rams game could prove pivotal now that Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews is out through injury. Head coach John Harbaugh even promoted the former Giant to one of the captains for Sunday’s game.
Harbaugh said yesterday:
Odell Beckham Jr. will be one of our captains for us in this game. He's a heck of a football player [who] draws a lot of attention. I think he's really coming into his own health right now, getting stronger and faster.
The last time Beckham was part of the fixture, he was still a Rams player. It was his 7-yard touchdown pass late in the game that secured a narrow 20-19 win for LA. According to Fox Sports, the Ravens gave the playmaker a one-year $13.835 million signing bonus that is worth up to $18 million.
