A few eagle-eyed social media butterflies discovered that Breece Hall liked a tweet on X that stirred up noise, that all is not well in the New York Jets locker room. The New York Jets‘ life in the 2023 season is getting worse by the day.
Hall liked a post that talked about the recent abysmal performances of quarterback Zach Wilson. The 24-year-old was pushed into action after new signing Aaron Rodgers was carted off due to an Achilles tear. Once touted as a promising talent, hence the first-round pick out of BYU, Wilson continues to fall short of fulfilling that promise.
Even though, on the outside, his teammates are trying their best to be supportive of the young signal-caller, it’s clear that the Jets locker room is a ticking time bomb. Hall liked a post that depicted that the turmoil is further proof of the ongoing tension.
The tweet read that the Jets defense isn’t particularly happy with Zach Wilson. Breece Hall allegedly liked the tweet from his official account. But that has since been deleted from the profile’s history section. However, it’s fair to say that the damage might already be done.
Social media fear the worst for the New York Jets as running back Breece Hall likes a post depicting the turmoil in the locker-room
Zach Wilson is in his third season with the New York Jets. He has an 8-16 record in 25 games, completing 389 of 709 passes (54.9 passer rating) for 4489 yards and throwing 17 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. In 2023, he lost both games as the starting quarterback, managed only 44 passes for 467 yards, and threw four interceptions. Not the ideal replacement for someone like Aaron Rodgers.
On top of that, running backs like Hall are not seeing the ball enough. Michael Carter‘s burst up at the sidelines in the Patriots game was a dead giveaway of frustration. But according to social media, that doesn’t mean Breece Hall should publicly hint at the situation inside the Jets locker room.
This probably won’t go down well with head coach Robert Saleh, who is trying his utmost to keep Wilson relevant. He refuses to budge from his words that Wilson is the QB 1 for the Jets, and they are happy with him. Even though the results did not go as planned, he will start the next game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
