The Carolina Panthers season continues to be a nightmare for the fans as they suffered a brutal loss against the Chicago Bears in their week 10 matchup on Thursday Night Football. In one of the funniest moments in the game, the Bears’ home crowd went through a roller coaster of emotions in just seconds.
During the third quarter of the game, the Bears held a 6-point lead and were trying to put some points on the board. During the crucial drive, a penalty flag was thrown after the Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore made some contact with the Panthers defensive back Troy Hill.
When announcing the penalty to the crowd, initially, the referee made a mistake by calling the penalty on the Panthers DB. The crowd let out a huge cheer before the referee realized his mistake and had a chat with another official.
And then, when he came back, he correctly put the penalty on the Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore. Chicago’s home crowd couldn’t believe the call and rained down the boos. Check out the footage attached below.
So, just like that, the Bears fans went from cheering the refs to booing the refs in seconds. Nonetheless, the penalty didn’t matter as the Carolina-based football team only scored 3 points from that point of the game.
In the end, the Bears ended up securing a 16-13 victory over the Panthers. With that victory, the Bears improved to a 3-7 record and showed some improvement in their game. On the flip side, the Panthers fell to 1-8 and remain as the team with the worst record in the NFL.
Bears managed to defeat the Panthers in a rookie QBs showdown
On Thursday, the Bears and the Panthers faced each other in a rookie QB showdown. The Bears were led by their undrafted rookie QB Tyson Bagent, while the Panthers were led by the 2023 1st overall pick Bryce Young.

On the field, the undrafted rookie managed to lead his team to victory over the first overall pick. Since they were playing with their rookie QBs, both teams relied heavily on their defensive units to carry them.
Besides, Bagent also had good support on the ground and pound attack, but Young had to carry the offensive unit of the Panthers. Nonetheless, the Bears have now managed to win 2 games without their starting QB Justin Fields as their starter.
So, the experts are now predicting, the Chicago-based football team might move from the former 11th overall pick, if they were in a good position to select a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft.
