The Seattle Seahawks were surprisingly victorious over the New York Giants in an interesting affair on SNF. Although an interesting highlight of the game came from referee Jerome Boger, who made a mistake and was called out brutally for it on Twitter.
During the end of the game, the Seahawks had committed an infraction and were called out for it, but while calling the penalty referee Jerome Boger, mistook the Seahawks for the Mariners who are the MLB from Seattle.
The commentators and the fans in the stadium burst out laughing after this mistake as the Seahawks’ HC looked in complete shock at him.
The Seahawks managed a comfortable victory against the Giants who were in exceptional form before this game as they have maintained a record of 6-2 after their loss to the Seahawks.
It looks like the departure of Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos has not affected them one bit as they are playing considerably better and WR Tyler Lockett thinks it’s because the team isn’t selfish anymore and isn’t playing for credit.
This is the first time that an experienced referee like Jerome Boger committed such a silly mistake, but it was insignificant as it didn’t affect the game in any way at all. Though that didn’t stop the people on Twitter to roast the referee.

NFL Twitter didn’t hold back when calling out Jerome Boger for his mistake and decided to go all in with various comments and memes. Some even asked the veteran referee to retire, and some asked him to move to MLB instead.
The Seattle Seahawks Twitter was booming after the incident as they posted the video on Twitter with the caption “Didn’t realize you were in the building” and tagged the Mariners with the hashtag ’embrace the chaos’.
There were many people who took offense to the incident and called out Jerome Boger for being an incompetent referee as he changed sports in an instant.
People are calling for Boger to retire for good as he can’t understand which sport he is officiating.
The Seahawks have found good form from their win over the Giants and will be looking to continue this form when they face the Cardinals in their next game of the season.
