On Sunday, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills went against the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs in a tough road game. During the final minutes of the heated rivalry matchup, there were many controversial calls by the referees. Especially, the Bills linebacker Von Miller seemingly got away with a penalty at the crucial stage of the game.

During the final quarter of the game, the Chiefs were trailing by 3 points and were facing a crucial 3rd down and 15. At the crucial moment, Mahomes threw an incompletion, leading to a 4th and long attempt and eventually a Chiefs loss. However, many Kansas City fans were convinced that during the 3rd downplay, officials failed to call an offside penalty on the Bills linebacker Von Miller.

From some videos trending on social media, it seemed like Miller was lined up in the neutral zone. However, there’s no convincing evidence the Bills linebacker deserved to be penalized. From some angles, it seemed like Miller only crossed the neutral zone after the ball was snapped. Check out the footage attached below.

This play in question happened just a play after refs threw a flag on the Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney for lining up offsides. That penalty cost the Chiefs a touchdown and eventually the game. So, naturally, the Chiefs players, including Mahomes, were p*ssed off at the officials. Some fans even brought up Von Miller’s ongoing domestic violence case to bash the linebacker.

In the end, the Bills managed to secure a 20-17 game and improved to a 7-6 record in the ongoing NFL season. Next, they are scheduled to face the thriving Dallas Cowboys in their week 15 clash.

Patrick Mahomes was asked about “missed” penalty on Von Miller

Following their tough loss against the Bills on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes was furious at the officials for doing their job. Furthermore, he was asked by the reporters about the “missed” offside penalty on Von Miller.

Mahomes still stood by his point that the officials should stay out of the game and just let the players play. A weird hill to die on, but that’s what Mahomes seemingly believes in.

I [would] rather let us play, man, like let us play the game. And then, whatever happens happens, like throwing the flag and deciding the game one or another. That’s what hurts you.

Indeed, the officiating hasn’t been good in the ongoing season, but they are certainly not getting paid to just stay out of the game. Nonetheless, the Chiefs suffered a loss in the second straight week and fell to an 8-5 record. Next, they are scheduled to face the struggling New England Patriots this weekend.
