“It can be a SCARY movie,” Chargers DC Renaldo Hill WARY of Broncos QB Russell Wilson’s potential threat ahead of Week-6 clash

Russell Wilson’s trade move from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos was one of the most talked about trades in all of the NFL during this offseason. However, the move has not yet paid off for the Broncos as Wilson has failed to hit the ground running with his new franchise.

The former Super Bowl XLVIII winner with Seattle is currently on a 2-3 record this season and his performances have been extremely below par so far. Despite that being the case, he still remains one of the most feared quarterbacks in the league according to opposition sides.

Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator, Renaldo Hill, was quite wary of the threat Wilson poses for his franchise ahead of their Week-6 encounter against the Broncos. He argued that although the quarterback hasn’t found his feet at his new hunting ground, it wouldn’t take him much time to do so.

This has meant that the Chargers are preparing for the worst when it comes to playing against Russell Wilson. According to Hill, the Chargers believe that Wilson will get it perfectly right on Monday night and they have mentally prepared for that scenario.

We’re expecting the best Russell,” Hill said according to NFL.com. “We know what he is capable of. He’s done it in the past. In our eyes, and our belief is that, he is going to be the guy that is ready to go out there on Monday night, in front of the whole world, and get it done.

Renaldo Hill also claimed that the more time Wilson spends with Broncos’ head coach Nathaniel Hackett, the better it would be for both the parties involved and it is only a matter of time before the 33-year-old once again rolls back the time.

“Russell is a Super Bowl champion,” Hill continued. “He’s still finding his rhythm within that scheme. A new person moving into a new scheme, but he has command. You know that he knows what he is looking for, having experience in this league. He still can make all of the throws. His nine-ball is still one of the prettiest in the league. The more and more opportunities that he gets, with him coach Hackett, in that system, and they get it grooved out, we know that good things are going to happen.

“We all know Russell — if he gets going, it can be a scary movie. That can happen at any point, so we have to make sure that we’re prepared and ready to go.”

Having said all of this, it wouldn’t be rocket science if we were to guess that the Chargers would want Russell Wilson to continue his poor form when he takes the field on Monday night.
