The Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by their star quarterback Baker Mayfield are currently preparing for their divisional round game against the NFC North champions, Detroit Lions this weekend. Ahead of the game, the Bucs’ head coach Todd Bowles was asked a bizarre question by a reporter about Detroit’s cold weather.

During the pre-game press conference on Tuesday, a reporter asked Bowles whether he has made any special preparations for Detroit’s cold weather, which is set to be 23 degrees with 10 mph winds.

Today, it’s 13 (degrees) in Detroit which doesn’t compare to some of the temperatures … any special plans to acclimate the team to not only endure but perform in those kind of frigid temperatures should you face them in Detroit?

The reporter asked Bowles

However, the reporter didn’t seem to realize that the game was going to be played in a dome. In fact, Pro football in Detroit has been played in Dome for nearly 5 decades now. The Bucs’ head coach Todd Bowles simply stated he wouldn’t have to worry about the weather since they would be playing inside a dome.

You do know we play indoors, right? They got a dome. No … nothing planned. We’re indoors, and we only have to be outside for the 20 seconds getting off the bus. We’ll be OK.
Todd Bowles told the reporter

The Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has played seven games in the dome. In those 7 NFL games, he has registered 1,471 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns. He also has a solid record of 5 wins and 2 losses in those 7 games. Todd Bowles’ Buccaneers have already surprised many people by reaching the divisional round and now they are looking to cause another upset this weekend.

Fans brutally trolled the reporters and also unfortunately made sexist jokes on social media. People believed she should’ve done some research before asking questions like that. Check out some of the reactions attached below.

Nonetheless, despite their shaky start to the season, the Buccaneers eventually became the NFC South champions and even caused an upset in the wildcard game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, they would be looking to defeat the No.3 seeded Lions and advance to the conference championship game.
