Former Seattle Seahawk and San Francisco 49er, Richard Sherman is a man of opinions. He never shies away from those and will stick to them, whether people like it or not. In his 11 seasons in the NFL, he was one of the best DBs in the league and won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks. Since retirement, Sherman has transitioned to television and now works for the Fox Sports show Undisputed with Skip Bayless.

Sherman joined Bayless on Undisputed for the first time yesterday. He will be a part of the team that will also feature former ESPN analysts Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin. During the show, Sherman talked about his expectations for the New York Jets and their quarterback Aaron Rodgers this season. He thinks the Jets will land in the Super Bowl come February.

“Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett are like peanut butter & jelly. They had back-to-back MVP seasons [together].” Sherman said on the show. “He’s going to make a Super Bowl difference. I got them [the Jets] in the Super Bowl.” He also praised the Jets’ defense during the segment.

The Jets had a 7-10 season last year, but there were many positives. WR Garrett Wilson and DB Sauce Gardener won the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards respectively last season. They got one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in Rodgers this off-season and their defense is expected to do big things this season. If everything goes according to plan, the Jets might just end up in the Super Bowl this season.

Aaron Rodgers impresses on his Jets debut in their final preseason game

Aaron Rodgers made his New York Jets debut in their final preseason game against the New York Giants. Naturally, there was a lot of excitement about the game and all eyes were on the Jets’ new quarterback. Rodgers completed 5 of his 8 passes for 46 yards and one touchdown. There was an instant connection between Rodgers and last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson. They both connected for 3 passes for 30 yards and one score.

The Jets won the game, and Rodgers was impressive in his debut. He looked comfortable in the new system and, with a familiar offensive coordinator in Nathaniel Hackett, the offense was looking good.

After playing all his life with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers signed with the Jets this offseason. He has a good roster around him and the team will be expected to have a good season with Rodgers as the signal-caller. It will be exciting to see Rodgers connect with a new no. 17 in New York. The Jets open their campaign against the Buffalo Bills on September 11.
