The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills and bounced them out of the playoffs. This marks the third straight year wherein the Chiefs have beaten the Bills without much difficulty.
After this loss, Josh Allen‘s capability and talent as a QB to lead the Bills to the Super Bowl is in question. Richard Sherman of Undisputed on FS1 shared his takeaway from last night’s loss and stated that Buffalo did not have faith in it’s QB to bring this game home.
Sherman had predicted the Chiefs to win and here’s what the analyst said after the game,
I said it earlier in the week...I don't think Josh Allen can beat Patrick Mahomes. I think he is the dragon that he cannot slay, he is the Goliath that David cannot slay.
Sherman then pointed out a key fact that Goliath beat David just once out of 100 times, the other 99 times Goliath had his number.
He further stated,
You got to understand that when you're playing Patrick Mahomes, you have to go over and beyond to beat him. That's not what Buffalo was trying to do. Buffalo was sitting there playing conservatively not to lose the game....that's not how you beat Patrick Mahomes.
Richard Sherman does not believe Josh Allen will ever be able to beat Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs
The Buffalo Bills played to gain a lead over the Kansas City Chiefs and then hoping to maintain that lead throughout the game. There were many mistakes that cost them dearly.
Stefon Diggs dropped a pass which, if he had caught, was bound to be a touchdown. Then there was the game-tying field goal which was missed by Tyler Bass, despite being on home turf, the Bills appeared nervous.
Richard Sherman stated,
The way that Joe Brady called this game, it was almost as if they didn't trust Josh Allen to win this game. They didn't trust that Josh Allen could go out there and out-execute and outplay Patrick Mahomes.
The analyst said this because the Bills ran the ball more than entrusted Allen with the task of throwing the ball.

Josh Allen himself had two rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown. He threw for under 200 yards. With this loss, the Bills have some serious thinking to do in the offseason if they intend to make it past the AFC Divisional Round or the Championship Round. This was the best shot they had to take down Patrick Mahomes, and they failed, yet again.
