The Dallas Cowboys had a terrific game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Although they lost the game, it wasn’t a blowout as the Cowboys kept it close throughout the game. Their QB Dak Prescott played a brilliant game but eventually, a loss is a loss. No matter how well a team plays, it is recorded in the loss column at the end of the day.

The Cowboys defeat saw them slip to 5-3 through nine weeks of the season. The Eagles, on the other hand, improved to 8-1 and are the best bet to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season. Former NFL player and current Fox Sports analyst Richard Sherman believes that although the Cowboys played well, there are no moral victories in football and that they will be disappointed with the loss. The Cowboys were just inches away from victory.

Dallas Cowboys played a really good game. Overall they played a really good game, you gotta give them a ton of credit. But they did not win. They didn't get any turnovers in the game. They had opportunities, but the ball kinda bounced the Eagles way. And that's what happens sometimes. In the redzone, they got really close in converting some opportunities. But at the same time, there are no moral victories. They lost the game.

The Cowboys haven’t been to the Super Bowl since the 1996 season when they won it against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They will hope to break that streak and reach the Super Bowl this season and they have the team to do so. A fascinating second half of the season awaits the Cowboys.

We know who we are. We needed to make one more play tonight. … I love the way our team plays."

The Cowboys competed with the best team in the league throughout the game and almost came out on top. It wasn’t to be though, as the Cowboys have now fallen to 5-3 for the season.

The Cowboys will welcome the New York Giants to the AT&T Stadium in their next game on Sunday. They will be expected to beat the Giants as the New York-based team has struggled this season with a 2-7 record. The Eagles on the other hand have a bye next week and will directly face the Chiefs on MNF in what will be a Super Bowl rematch.
