The name of Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines is coming to a lot of discussion after the HC successfully delivered a National Championship for his team. It was a great success after a phenomenal regular season with a 15-0 record on the tally.
With this success, debates are accelerating on whether the coach will remain a part of College football. Harbaugh has a history of coaching in professional football. For more than three years, the HC was associated with the Niners. He even led the 49ers to the Super Bowl path where he lost against his brother John Harbaugh in 2012. Before the Niners, the HC was also associated with the Stanford Cardinal.
Since the NFL is a known field for him, there are high speculations that the HC might seek a return to the field. Nonetheless, former player and the present-day analyst Richard Sherman does not feel so. In the latest episode of the show, Undisputed, the analyst said:
In my best guess would be Michigan. I think his purpose is going there. He was to build a beast, build a bully at Michigan. He left San Diego after they had a successful year, he wanted to prove 'Hey I can go to Stanford University to turn his program to a powerhouse that they have never been. He did that, the team won 4-5 BCS games after he left. We went to the orange bowl.Richard Sherman on UNDISPUTED
Michigan will build a statue for Jim Harbaugh, believes Richard Sherman
The analyst wholeheartedly praised the HC and he said that despite providing at the highest level; the HC would love to stay in Michigan because his mission has not yet been fulfilled. Sherman believed that the HC still has a lot to provide and he would provide it in the coming time.
Sherman noted:
.... Then he went to the NFL, went to a Super Bowl. Played his brother, lost that Super Bowl. Went to a few NFC Championship Games, proved that he can do it at the NFL level. Went to his Alma Mater. Went to three straight playoffs. Won a National Championship. He is in control of his own destiny. I think he should stay at Michigan because his motivation and goal is still there... I am sure they are gonna build a statue in front of the stadium.Richard Sherman on Jim Harbaugh
With such a colorful and clinical career graph, the HC helped the Wolverines to get over one of the most discussed scouting scandals ever in college football this season. Michigan Wolverines had some struggles this season but in the end, they had the last laugh.
