Richard Sherman feels ‘terrible’ for Giants fans as they’ll be forced to see Daniel Jones as starting QB once he’s healthy despite Tommy DeVito’s heroics
QB DeVito has led his team to last three wins out of four games, that too back-to-back.

In the absence of Daniel Jones, the one who led the New York Giants to an unexpected win against a strong team as the Green Bay Packers was undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito. Not only did he add another win to his resume, but brought his team just one game behind those five teams for the final NFC wild-card spot.
Before DeVito happened to the Giants, the team was standing at a terrible 2-7 led by quarterback Jones and Tyrod Taylor as the backup. However, as both of them suffered an injury and had to be on the injured reserve, the Giants turned toward DeVito, probably the best decision they made.

After the heroic outings by the young quarterback, sports analyst and former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman felt sorry for the Giants fans, as the team isn’t going to continue with DeVito when Jones returns after recovering from his injury.
On a recent episode of Undisputed, Sherman highlighted, how Jordan Love drove the Kansas City Chiefs “down the field in the fourth quarter when they had to have done. But so did Tommy DeVito, which is a really cool story.” He further added:
I think they're impressed by what he's [DeVito] doing. I mean Giants fans..I feel terrible for you. Because you gotta go back to Daniel Jones when you've watched multiple quarterbacks play better than he was playing even when he was healthy with the same weapons and everybody.Richard Sherman on Undisputed
The former NFL cornerback acknowledged that not going forward with DeVito as the start is a bad situation for the Giants fans and appreciated the rookie saying:
He's [Tommy DeVito] got nine touchdowns on the season. He drove them down the field when he needs to have it at home, in New York. I love to see his skip, I love to see those things.
Will Tommy DeVito play next week against the Saints?
Looking back on the last four games of the Giants, DeVito has led his team to victory three times, back to back. According to Elias Sports Bureau, DeVito is the third undrafted rookie to win three of his four games.

In the recent win against Green Bay, the quarterback recorded completing 17 of 21 passes (81%) for 158 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, as per Giants’ official website. He hasn’t thrown an interception in his last 87 passes.
When asked by the head coach Brian Doball, he said, “Earned the right to play on Monday, and earned the right to play next week. The kid’s done a good job,” as reported by ESPN. Based on the stats, the Giants would most probably stick with DeVito in the upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints, over the recently returned Taylor.
