Rihanna performed at the Super Bowl halftime show this year and it was nothing less than fireworks. The fans got up from their seats and celebrated the influential singer as she took the stage after many years of not producing music.

The American Popstar has been one of the most influential celebrities in the country for more than a decade now. Therefore, it was pretty hard to ignore that she had rejected to perform at the 2018 NFL Super Bowl halftime show as she was showing solidarity with former 49ers Colin Kaepernick.

However, this time the chart topper is back and everyone’s surprised. Many wanted to find out the reason that changed her mind and the ‘Rude Boy’ singer gave her fans exactly what they wanted in an interview with British Vogue.

“There’s still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes, but it’s powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high level and a consistent level,” The Popstar stated to British Vogue.

The Super Bowl game between the Eagles and the Chiefs was nothing short of surprise even during the halftime show. Rihanna confessed to being pregnant for a second time and that has had a huge impact on how she looks at things now.

The chart-topper singer still thinks that there’s a lot of mending to be done by the NFL but the representation of the Black community is really important and something to fight for.

She has also started to reevaluate her priorities after having a kid and now has a different outlook to life. “Of course, raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life,” Rihanna stated. “You’re like, ‘What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they’re gonna be living on?’ All of those things really start to hit differently.”

Rihanna set the stage on fire and was nothing short of exceptional during her NFL Super Bowl halftime performance. However, the performance had contradictory reviews due to certain acts performed on the stage.
