Every position in an NFL team is of utmost importance and has its uses and functions. However, a cornerback is considered the pillar of the defense and has various functions. Riley Moss is a CB who was drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft and has a bright future.

A cornerback is supposed to be physically efficient, strong and should have great speed as well. These qualities are hard to cultivate. Fortunately, The Denver Broncos were lucky enough to get Moss in the third round of the draft.

Moss is a young CB with a bright future in front of him. Recently, the 23-year-old spoke to NFL reporter Zac Stevens of the DNVR sports. During the conversation, it was pointed out to him that he is the only White CB in the NFL. This is an odd fact to find out, as the NFL has the most racial diversity compared to the other sports leagues in the country.

The young CB gave a mature reply after finding out the odd fact and wasn’t faded by being the special one in his position. “I didn’t know I was the only White corner to be honest,” Riley Moss stated. “I mean, it’s pretty crazy, but at the end of the day, if you can do the job, you can do the job and that’s what I’m here to do.”

Moss answered the question really well for an athlete who was just drafted into the league. The Broncos CB believes that skill is required to survive in the league and racial profile doesn’t play any part in that.

The Denver Broncos happen to be one of the worst teams in the league who even failed to make the playoffs last season. Surprisingly, their defense is still solid as they ranked 14th last season in their defensive output.

Riley Moss will have a great learning curve working with an experienced defense. The Broncos managed to keep the majority of teams under 20 points last season.

However, they failed massively when it came to their offense. Russell Wilson is currently one of the worst QBs in the league and legendary HC Sean Payton was called in to change things.

It will be interesting to see how Riley Moss performs in his first season while the Broncos are going through a transition. Will they be the worst team this year as well or is there hope for redemption for the Denver-based team? The new season has a lot to answer.
