4-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has admitted that Patrick Mahomes can surpass Tom Brady in the longer run. Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to an emphatic win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII despite not being at 100% physically. He was adjudged the Super Bowl MVP for his heroics and became the first person in over two decades to win both the NFL MVP award and the Super Bowl.
At just 27, Mahomes has played in 3 Super Bowls and has won two of them. He is also a 2-time NFL MVP and 2-time Super Bowl MVP. Due to such records, he is deemed to be the next big thing in the NFL and many have started to compare him to Tom Brady. The former Patriots and Bucs QB is a 7-time Super Bowl champion and has played in record 10 Super Bowls.
Speaking on the Up & Adams show, Rob Gronkowski was asked whether Mahomes can give Brady the run for his money or not. Gronk positively said that he believed Mahomes can and reasoned that the 27-year-old’s dynamics at the QB position is what makes him different. According to Gronk, Mahomes has shown that he can do almost everything as a quarterback and with a great team, can win many more rings in the coming years.
“I think he can. I think he can because I think when you see the importance of the quarterback position, how dynamic and material he is, and as Ryan highlighted, you can’t prepare for him… He has shown that there’s very little he can’t do as a quarterback,” he said.

Can Patrick Mahomes break Tom Brady’s records?
Tom Brady is considered to be the ‘Greatest’ in the NFL due to his sublime records. He has played in the league for over two decades and has competed in 10 Super Bowls. He is a 7-time Super Bowl winner and also a 5-time Super Bowl MVP. Brady is also a 15-time Pro Bowler and has won the NFL MVP award thrice.

Currently, Mahomes will continue with the Chiefs and has a great team around him that could dominate the AFC in the coming 5 years.
