If you’re looking for a great partner to play hot potato with, do not choose Kadarius Toney. The Kansas City Chiefs wideout has had a rough season and made it evident by this point that he is not ready to assume the role of WR1 after having multiple drops that have cost his team points. Despite the Chiefs’ 27-17 win over the New England Patriots, Toney’s insane mistake led to an interception which left Patrick Mahomes fuming.
Patrick Mahomes threw a perfect pass but the wide receiver was not able to catch it and it bounced out of his hands and was intercepted. Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is amongst those critics who are sick of watching Toney fumble opportunities this season.
Kadarius Toney is an athletic freak, the guy can run routes like no other, he can return punts but when you're making costly mistakes like that, in-and-out, from the beginning of the season to the middle of the season, throughout your career, it's kind of like you just don't love the game of football.the greatest tight end of all time said on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams.

Rob Gronkowski gave the receiver his flowers by praising his athleticism and credited him for his footwork and route-running capabilities. However, he was critical of him for not developing the basic skill to catch and tuck the ball. Gronkowski has an issue with Toney repeating the same mistakes over and over again, it is like he does not care enough to improve himself.
You're just out there because you're just so athletic because you're born with that type of athleticism, but you're not out there to be the best teammate or best football player you can be...those mistakes that he's making should've been corrected after the first time.
Kadarius Toney’s interception against the Patriots had Patrick Mahomes frustrated at him
Gronkowski blamed Toney for not taking “accountability of it all” and practicing enough. The former tight end is of the opinion that the only reason Toney is on that roster right now is because of his insane athleticism and God-given talent. However, he has yet to show that he deserves to be on the team for being a great wide receiver.

Kadarius Toney’s fumbled pass that led to an interception had even Patrick Mahomes, the calmest quarterback who has defended him on multiple occasions outraged. Mahomes could not help but yell “Are you fuc*** shi**ing me? God, damn it,” after Toney failed to close out the play. Toney needs to get his act together especially this close to the playoff time. The Chiefs cannot rely on him in critical moments if he continues to drop key passes and end up costing them games.
